Sega fanboys have one less Dreamcast-exclusive game to taunt PS2 owners about come this May. That's right, Capcom's latest (if you don't count RE Survivor, and we don't) and arguably greatest sequel in the Resident Evil 'survival-horror' adventure series is on its way to Sony's big black box this summer.

So why the added 'X' in the title? 'Cause it's not a straight port-more like a Director's Cut. Added goodies include nearly 10 minutes of new footage (mostly cutscenes involving the villain Wesker; Wesker meeting Claire, more of Wesker fighting with Chris, etc.) and other new features still under wraps. Maybe the in-game first-person view cut from the DC version? Super-obsessive RE freaks (like us) will also notice that even Steve's hairstyle has been altered (our guess: Capcom got a call from DiCaprio's lawyers). But the best new addition would have to be the playable demo of RE creator Shinji Mikami's next title, Devil May Cry, that will come with REC: VX in Japan, and hopefully here too.
Overall rating: 8
USK, Germany’s ESRB equivalent, has rated Resident Evil Code: Veronica for PS4, indicating that the game is coming to modern consoles as either a port or remaster. However, the USK has since removed its listing for Resident Evil Code: Veronica, which likely means that it was posted in error.
Before the USK could remove Resident Evil Code: Veronica‘s PS4 rating, NeoGAF user YianGaruga managed to record the details. The game was given a 16 rating (in ESRB terms, “M” for Mature) and the listing was originally posted on March 17th. Since the now-removed listing was posted not too long ago, it could be an indication that Capcom is preparing to announce the PS4 version of Resident Evil Code: Veronica soon.
As stated previously, Resident Evil Code: Veronica on PS4 would likely be a port of the HD version of the game or a complete remaster like the Resident Evil remake and Resident Zero remasters that Capcom released over the last couple of years. Alternatively, it’s possible that Resident Evil Code: Veronica is the next PS2-on-PS4 game, since the listing names the PlayStation 4 as its only platform.
While there are numerous possibilities when it comes to bringing Resident Evil Code: Veronica to PS4, the most likely scenario is that the game is a port of the HD remaster that released five years ago. It’s also probable that the game is coming to PC and Xbox One as well, considering the fact that almost every other main series Resident Evil game is available on those systems in addition to PS4.
If Resident Evil Code: Veronica is coming to modern consoles as the USK listing suggests, there would only be two main series Resident Evil games missing from the PS4 library. Those games are Resident Evil 2, which is getting a remake, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which would likely need an upgrade in the vein of Resident Evil HD Remaster before it made its way to modern consoles.
Perhaps if the Resident Evil 2 remake is profitable enough, Capcom may take the initiative to give Resident Evil 3 the same treatment, which would give fans the chance to play every main series Resident Evil game on one system. Of course, that’s assuming this Resident Evil Code: Veronica listing is real, so fans will need to sit tight for an official announcement from Capcom before getting too excited.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica is available now GameCube, PS2, PS3, Sega Dreamcast, and Xbox 360.

Currently, PC has almost all the Resident Evil games. The only main games it's missing are RE2, RE3, and RE:CV. We know RE2 is being remade, and will most likely be released on Steam. I feel RE3 is inevitable if you look at the recent re-releases. This would also most likely be released on Steam. This leaves Code Veronica. CV will likely not get remastered anytime soon, as it's on the PS4 as a PS2 classic, and was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This is unfortunate to me as this is the only main series Resident Evil I've yet to play besides RE7.
My question is: Do you think it's likely that CV will get a PC release? If so, when?
